| DESCRIPTION |
Elmer is seeking junior level GIS Technicians
for new projects in GIS team and also to support ongoing
GIS data development projects. The candidates will assist
GIS teams in various projects. Normal duties include heads-up
digitizing, attributing spatial and tabular data, customized
geoprocessing tools, and GIS map creation to meet required
standards. The GIS Technicians may be asked to support new
business opportunities. GIS Technicians will build upon
existing fundamentals and skill base, and are expected to
be a contributing part of the Elmer GIS team.

| EDUCATION |
| Minimum level of education: BA/BS
from an accredited college or university. Hands on experience
on various GIS software (Other education, commensurate experience
and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted.) |

| QUALIFICATIONS |
| Candidates must understand basic GIS theory, including
the use of projections, coordinate systems, geoprocessing tools,
and a basic knowledge of spatial analysis. They must be proficient
at completing daily GIS tasks using the Map Info, AutoCAD desktop
products, Personal geodatabases. Basic GIS skills including
the development of specialized map products, spatial queries
are a must. |
