Elmer has
announced acquisition of Digital Map data for the entire state of Andhra
Pradesh. This data would be based on the Topo Sheets obtained from Survey
of India and updated from 6-meter resolution Satellite Imagery, thereby
giving us the first of its kind data set of the state of Andhra Pradesh.
|
|
|
This data will
have, apart from topographical features, revenue boundaries,
administrative boundaries, policing boundaries, various point features
like Fuelling stations, ATMs, banks, Hospitals, medical shops,
restaurants, service stations, etc. in all important cities and along the
National and State Highways.
|
|
|
We propose to use
this data for launching various GIS/GPS technologies based services
catering to Transport and goods carrying companies, APSRTC, Railways,
FMCG Companies, Telecom and Cellular companies, Insurance & Private
Banking companies, Tourism department etc. In- Car Navigation systems.
